Course description

This programme aims to provide talented postdocs and other promising researchers the skills and competences needed to develop a high quality research proposal to submit within the NWO Veni programme.
Course participants are researchers planning to apply for an NWO Veni grant in 2023 that will be carried out at Wageningen University.

Total of ~14 sessions scheduled in about 3 months time (September-December)

Next to the scheduled days, count at ½ day per week to write your proposal.

Day 1 - Monday 11 September

  • Q&A Veni criteria
  • Examining successful grant proposals
  • Experiences of Veni laureates

 

Day 2 - Wednesday 13 September

  • Modelling the proposal
  • Efficient writing strategies

 

Day 3 - Wednesday 20 September/ Friday 22 September

  • (~2 hrs per group between 9:00 and 15:00)

Fee

1) Reduced fee: Post-docs and staff of Wageningen University €750,-
2) Extended fee: All other participants €1500,-

Cancellation policy

You may cancel your registration at no charge until four weeks before the start of the course. After this date you will be charged the course fee. 

Exemption of payment:
If you can find someone to replace you in the course, you will only be charged a €100 cancellation fee. However, you must provide the course coordinator with the name and contact information of your replacement.

For post-docs of Wageningen University: when you have a valid reason to cancel (i.e., circumstances beyond your control), you will be charged the cancellation fee. In this case, your supervisor must provide the reason for cancellation in writing.
